ORGANIZATION INFORMATION

SCACM is a not-for-profit organization, directed by volunteers from all levels of Clinical Microbiology.

The Board of Directors is comprised of both elected and appointed positions, as follows:

Elected Positions (elected each fall):

State Directors

Appointed Positions:

- Committee Chairpersons
- Interest Group Coordinators
- State Director Coordinator 

State Directors coordinate continuing education activities (fall meetings, workshops, seminars) within the individual geographic regions.

Directors-at-Large are responsible for Spring program planning.

Various committees exist within SCACM to facilitate the vast amount of planning needed to successfully run such an organization. 

Opportunities always exist for individuals interested in becoming involved in the planning of meetings, finances, exhibits, publications, etc. Become part of this active group:

SCACM's unique use of Interest Groups also allows members to assemble with others in their subspecialty areas for information exchange.
